I began my career working in a variety of advertising, PR and sales promotion agencies and became a qualified, CIM trained marketer. After a brief spell working for the charity Mind, I moved to BBC Education and ran their Marketing Services department, before being appointed BBC Brand Marketing Manager. This involved sizeable – but enjoyable – challenges, such as creating the BBC’s Design Agency Roster and advising a multitude of people and organisations about how they could (or couldn’t!) use the BBC’s logos.
After a career break to have children – and move to Gloucestershire – I took on roles with the Environment Agency, CLIC Sargent (managing the marketing for their Tesco Charity of the Year partnership) and, more recently, local charity Readathon. I set up Weir Marketing, near Stroud, because I want to provide straightforward, affordable marketing advice to small and medium sized businesses and charities. You can see my work history in a bit more detail on Linked In. Please get in touch with me on danella@weirmarketing.co.uk or by phone/text on 07711 709360. I’d love to chat with you about helping your organisation stand taller.
